Hobbies:

In her "spare" time she enjoys reading (Tolkien a favorite!), watercolor painting, and scrapbooking. She is also a free-lance writer, and enjoys time with her family--husband Dave, and three adult daughters: Gracie who also teaches in the Barber studio as well as at local private schools, Bethany who works locally as a baker and crafter, and Christen (Brandon) Harper who works in Jackson TN as a high school librarian and graced us with two sweet grandchildren August and Matilda Harper!

Student Successes:

The Barber Piano Studio produced the first Suzuki Talent Education Piano Book Seven graduates in the East Tennessee area, and now boasts a total of 10 of these graduates...Joe Davis, Roxie Friberg, Brianne Roddy, Kari Kuhns, Hannah Davis, Chad Miller, Stephen Adams, Lori Baxter, LilyGrace Mitchell, and William Yao. In addition, at least 27 students from the studio have gone on to study music in college and/or establish a career in music teaching, ministry, or music business, some of them locally!
