Hobbies:

In her "spare" time she enjoys reading (Tolkien a favorite!) and scrapbooking. She is also a free-lance writer, and enjoys time with her family--husband Dave, daughter Gracie who is a junior studying Music Ed at Union University,  as well as two adult daughters Bethany Barber and Christen (Brandon) Harper, and sweet grandchildren August and Matilda Harper!

Student Successes:

The Barber Piano Studio produced the first Suzuki Talent Education Piano Book Seven graduates in the East Tennessee area, and now boasts a total of 9 of these graduates...Joe Davis, Roxie Friberg, Brianne Roddy, Kari Kuhns, Hannah Davis, Chad Miller, Stephen Adams, Lori Baxter, and LilyGrace Mitchell. In addition, at least 26 students from the studio have gone on to study music in college and/or establish a career in music teaching, ministry, or music business, some of them locally!
